New Loxone Door Lock Air – Now Available in uplan

Loxone has expanded its access control portfolio with the new Door Lock Air, bringing the door lock directly into the building automation system. And now, the Door Lock Air is also available in uplan, so you can include it in your Loxone projects right from the planning stage.

What is the Loxone Door Lock Air?

The Door Lock Air is a smart locking solution designed to integrate directly into a Loxone system. The technology is concealed inside the door, allowing the door handle and fittings to remain a design choice rather than being dictated by the access control system.

Because the lock communicates via Loxone Air, it becomes part of the building automation system. Access can therefore interact with other functions in the building, including lighting, security and other automated processes.

For example, opening a door can trigger lighting or other predefined functions, while access permissions can be managed centrally through the Loxone system.

Three Door Lock Air Versions

Loxone has developed three versions for different installation requirements:

Door Lock Air Inductive
The lock is powered inductively through its counterpart in the door frame. This eliminates the need for regular battery replacement.

Door Lock Air Battery
A battery-powered version suitable for installations where an inductive power supply is not required or possible.

Door Lock Air Battery for Glass Doors
A dedicated version designed for glass-door applications.

This makes the system suitable for a range of applications, from residential projects to offices, hotels and other buildings with multiple access points.

Door Lock Air in uplan

The Loxone Door Lock Air is now available in the uplan device library.

When planning a Loxone project, you can place the Door Lock Air directly on the floor plan together with the other devices in the system.

This means access control can be considered as part of the electrical and automation design from the beginning, instead of being added separately later in the project.

Once your project is complete, uplan can use the devices placed on the floor plan to create the project documentation and device list, alongside the rest of the Loxone installation.
